These are the graves of Harman and Barbara Kiter Umstead (Umstate). Harman is buried in row 19 and Barbara is buried in Row 13. Barbara's last name has been traditionally believed by her descendants to have been Kiter, but no documentation has been found. Others show her name as Kizer, Guyton or Guiton, also without documentation. Harman was born about March 7, 1744/45 and died March 25, 1823. His stone reads: "In memory of HARMAN UMSTEAD who departed this life March 25, 1823 Aged 78 Years and 18 days. Barbara was born about September 16, 1754 and died June 12, 1840. Her stone reads "In Memory of BARBARA UMSTEAD wife of HARMAN UMSTEAD who departed this life June 12th 1840 aged 85 years 8 months and 26 days.
